Pharmacy Technician I

**Job Summary:**
As a Pharmacy Technician I at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy team. Under the direction of a pharmacist, you will perform various tasks to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery to patients.
**Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret and prepare medication orders by filling provider orders, medication kits/trays, automated dispensing cabinets, and floor stock requisitions.
- Complete cart fill and code tray refills accurately.
- Handle all controlled substances in compliance with regulations and policies.
- Demonstrate proficiency with work-related computer and automation skills through problem-solving for automated dispensing cabinets, inventory management technology, label printers, unit dose packing machines, IV room automation, and other pharmacy-specific technologies.
- Enter patient charges and credits accurately.
- Deliver medications to the appropriate patient care area or department per established schedule and workflow in a timely manner.
**Requirements:**
- High School diploma or equivalent; OR post high school degree.
- 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Tech.
- State Certified Pharmacy Tech with the SC Board of Pharmacy.
- Thorough knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
- Good mathematical, computer, and aseptic technique skills.
- Knowledge of SCBOP/DHEC/DEA rules/regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
**Work Environment:
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
