About the RoleThis is a non-management position that reports to a supervisor or manager. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong work ethic.
- Accurately interpret and prepare medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Fill, label, and package medications and pharmaceuticals, ensuring timely delivery to patient care areas.
- Contribute to an efficient pharmacy work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace and providing excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities as a Pharmacy Technician I, PRN will include:
- Interpreting and preparing medication orders using department policies and procedures.
- Filling, labeling, and packaging medications and pharmaceuticals.
- Delivering medications to patient care areas in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to regulatory guidelines for pharmacy operations.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Registration with the SC Board of Pharmacy.
- Pharmacy Tech Certification within 18 months of hire date.
- Thorough knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
