Job Summary

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities seeks a highly skilled and experienced Disciplinary Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our staff in matters related to disciplinary actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel and guidance on disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for addressing disciplinary issues, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee conduct and discipline.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into disciplinary matters, gathering and analyzing evidence to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of disciplinary actions and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a disciplinary or regulatory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing employee conduct and discipline.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
