Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced nursing professional to lead our resident care services as a Director of Resident Care Services. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated care professionals, ensuring that our residents receive safe and effective care tailored to their individual needs.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Contribute to strategic decisions and operational excellence as a key member of our management team.
  • Service Planning and Development: Develop and implement service plans, ensuring consistent engagement with residents that honors their personal histories, interests, and abilities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Uphold compliance with all state regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both residents and staff.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance on dementia care practices and other nursing topics, ensuring our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success.
  • Marketing and Networking: Actively participate in marketing and networking activities to promote our community's programs.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: A licensed nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) with a strong background in community-based care, especially in dementia care.
  • Leadership Experience: A leader with prior supervisory or management experience in healthcare settings who excels in team member development.
  • Communication Skills: A professional who communicates effectively with residents, families, and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive community atmosphere.
  • Organizational Skills: A detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and documentation skills, and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of our residents.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive problem-solver who can represent our community positively and professionally.
Qualifications
  • Licensure and Certification: Current state nursing license in good standing and valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of dementia-care practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills (Word, Excel), current CPR/First Aid, and Food Handlers credentials required (can be obtained once hired).
  • Health-Related Requirements: Must meet all health-related requirements for state licensure, and pass all pre-employment screenings, including criminal background check, drug, and TB testing.
