Responsibilities:
About the Role:
As a Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will serve as the primary point of contact for dealership and internal customer service, acting as a liaison between GM Financial's Commercial Lending Services and Sales teams.
Your role will involve analyzing various internal reports, monthly dealership operating and financial statements, bank statements, and floorplan audit results.
You will identify potential risk factors and develop strategies to mitigate them.This includes accurate reporting of findings, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and risk management, as well as liaising with dealership personnel and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
As a successful Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will frequently interact with dealer principals and staff, GM Financial leadership, and GM/GM Financial Sales teams across a designated portfolio.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the central contact for all internal and external customer commercial lending inquiries; coordinate and manage requests to completion
- Communicate effectively with dealership owners to discuss trends and issues, identifying additional business opportunities for GM Financial
- Monitor and manage your assigned dealership portfolio; conduct financial analyses using monthly financial statements; proactively recognize risks and develop actionable plans to mitigate them, escalating to leadership when necessary
- Utilize data analysis and critical thinking to resolve complex issues; investigate to gain a deeper understanding of situations and provide consultative support to dealer customers
- Collaborate closely with legal counsel to identify potential legal or security concerns that may affect GM Financial's rights to enforce agreements or jeopardize collateral
- Demonstrate knowledge of credit underwriting, accounting principles, financial statement analysis, cash flow management, and dealer workouts; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Exhibit innovative thinking with strong analytical skills and strategic vision; self-motivated, capable of working independently and engaging with all management levels
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, interpersonal, and persuasive abilities
Qualifications:

- Understanding of commercial lending with a focus on captive automotive dealership financing
- Knowledge of credit underwriting practices
- Familiarity with accounting, financial statement analysis, cash flow management, and dealer workouts
- Excellent analytical capabilities

- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree or CPA preferred
- 2-3 years of directly related experience in commercial lending required
- 2-3 years of experience in an automotive dealership commercial lending environment required
