Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at ATR International. As a key member of our production and maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance on production equipment, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, plastic and metal fabrication and repair, and installation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform production equipment change-overs as dictated by schedule or requested by shift supervisor.
- Interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Assist in preparing documentation regarding preventive maintenance and machine operation.
- Set up and operate all equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
- Escort and assist outside repair persons in the performance of their contractual obligations.
- Escort agency testing technicians to ensure timely completion of their tasks related to production equipment.
- Maintain appropriate records, keep inventory of spare parts and materials, and provide supervisor with necessary information to secure replacement parts or special materials.
- Respond to alarm or trouble calls as required and maintain a strong floor presence.
- Function as a key member of both the production and maintenance team, assisting as necessary to accomplish production goals and through-put initiatives.
Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 1+ years' of related experience in a similar role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical certificate as an electro-mechanical technician, industrial maintenance technician, or technical degree in precision machining and manufacturing, automotive repair, or related technical field.
- Prior experience as an electromechanical technician, experience with automation in the medical field.
- 2+ years' of diverse experience in high volume production setting.
- Hands-on electro-mechanical repair, rebuild, field service experience.
- Familiarity with formal preventative maintenance program.
- Experience working in a company operating under ISO, FDA, or similar quality systems or regulations.
Competencies:
- Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
- Familiarity with formal preventative maintenance program.
