Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with pulmonary disorders. With a strong focus on patient care and quality service, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team.

About the Role

This position is located at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and involves working variable hours per week. You will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory issues. This includes collecting and analyzing sputum, blood, and breath specimens, measuring lung volumes and capacities, and delivering inhaled medication as prescribed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have successfully completed either an associate's or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy. Additionally, you must hold an active state license as a certified respiratory technician and obtain your registered respiratory therapy license within one year of hire.

Working Conditions

This position may involve exposure to hazardous materials, lifting, moving, and loading 20-30 pounds, and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Alternate shift schedules, including day, evening, nights, and weekends, may also be required.
