Position Overview:

The Employment and Case Management Support Specialist will provide essential services to refugee families, focusing on enhancing the Employment and Case Management teams' efforts. This role is integral to the support of clients in navigating employment opportunities and accessing necessary resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Employment Team by:
    • Delivering supportive services to newly arrived refugee clients, documenting service delivery, collaborating with team members, and achieving performance targets.
    • Conducting intakes and assessments, offering employment preparation, job readiness training, placement assistance, career development services, credential evaluations, and follow-up support.
    • Facilitating job applications, both online and in-person.
    • Coordinating comprehensive intake, assessment, orientation, and pre-employment/job readiness classes for eligible clients.
    • Maintaining accurate digital and physical records of attendance, assessments, and services provided.
    • Monitoring client job performance, wage levels, and satisfaction of both employers and employees.
    • Participating in weekly team meetings to discuss progress and strategies.
    • Ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements, including timely report completion, database management, case documentation, and file maintenance.
    • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Support the Case Management Team by:
    • Assisting with initial intakes and enrollments.
    • Completing case notes, documentation, file organization, and data entry.
    • Helping clients with public benefit applications, referrals to external services, and addressing various needs as they arise.
    • Following up on compliance with ELL and EMPLOYMENT, processing referrals to appropriate internal teams.
    • Providing ongoing administrative support to both teams as required.
    • Upholding high standards of record-keeping in accordance with USCRI and ORR policies.
    • Offering information, education, referrals, outreach, advocacy, and support to ensure families receive the necessary services.
    • Engaging in regular training and communication sessions with supervisors and headquarters staff.
    • Completing documentation in case management database systems promptly.
    • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or a minimum of one year of relevant experience working with under-resourced families.
  • Experience with immigrant populations or in social service provision is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including non-English speaking clients and individuals from various cultural and social backgrounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, creatively solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic databases and MS Office is advantageous.

Compensation:

This position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week at an annual salary of $42,500, along with benefits.
