Position Summary

At AWS, security is paramount. Our US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security team is in search of a motivated and assertive Security Compliance Specialist. This role is crucial in addressing security challenges for our mission-driven customers. You will need to comprehend AWS's operational security processes and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with government clients to create and implement system security packages across cloud platforms.
  • Work with diverse AWS teams to develop and maintain security documentation, including security questionnaires, System Security Plans (SSPs), and Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTMs).
  • Evaluate proposed systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks and resolve integration challenges with existing cloud infrastructure.
  • Establish higher-level security requirements stemming from laws, regulations, or government directives by crafting long-term security system plans that identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with cloud vulnerabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Assessment and Authorization within a related field, including project management and collaboration with technical teams.
  • At least 2 years of familiarity with the processes and documentation necessary to define project scope and deliverables with government stakeholders.
  • 1+ years of experience in architecting information systems for authorization under applicable frameworks.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD Manual 8570 IAM Level III certification.
  • Strong foundation in service-oriented and web-service technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing systems utilizing AWS.
  • Familiarity with Information Security or Audit frameworks.
