Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with a proven track record in developing, managing, and mentoring clients on Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) utilizing MS Project. This role requires an individual who can serve as the MS Project and Scheduling Authority, guiding our clients in the formulation of IMS and the seamless integration of various products within the MS Project Server framework.
Essential Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with MS Project and/or MS Project Server.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with senior agency executives, development teams, and technical project leaders.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp applications that enhance project scheduling.
- Solid understanding of industry principles related to systems engineering.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills in technical contexts.
- Proficient in conducting research and applying relevant concepts.
- Capability to create tools, templates, and processes tailored to specific challenges using available application tools.
- Excellent technical communication and writing abilities.
- Self-motivated individual who identifies issues and initiates discussions and actions proactively.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in developing and sustaining program Roadmaps and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Proficiency in constructing baseline schedules.
- Familiarity with creating and integrating program schedules into an IMS.
- Ability to capture and prioritize requirements and outcomes effectively.
- Experience in identifying both internal and external dependencies.
- Skills in analyzing portfolio and program schedules, dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Proven experience in conducting thread analysis.
- Background in researching and executing technology integration (e.g., PowerBI Reporting Application).
- Capability to provide training to program staff.
- Previous experience in generating relevant technical documentation for products.
