Position Overview

Talent Vision, a leading Staffing and Consulting Firm, is partnering with a renowned charter school to fill the role of Educational Support Specialist. In this position, you will collaborate with seasoned educators to deliver tailored instruction and support to students with varied learning requirements. Your contribution is vital in helping students receive personalized attention and reach their academic goals.


Primary Duties:

  • Work in conjunction with the lead educator to develop and execute lesson plans that foster a student-focused learning atmosphere.
  • Assist in managing classroom dynamics, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for every student.
  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction to cater to the unique learning needs of students, adapting to various learning styles.
  • Engage in ongoing professional growth to refine teaching abilities and remain informed about educational best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the lead educator to track and evaluate student progress, offering constructive feedback and assistance as necessary.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting their emotional and social growth.
  • Team up with fellow educators and support personnel to create a unified team and contribute to the overall success of the educational institution.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities and maintain precise records of student attendance, assignments, and academic progress.
  • Participate in discussions with parents or guardians and communicate regularly to provide updates on student achievements.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • Prior experience as a teacher's aide or instructional assistant is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to effectively collaborate with lead educators, parents, and support staff.
  • Understanding of diverse teaching methodologies and the ability to modify instruction to accommodate individual student needs.
  • A genuine passion for working with students and a dedication to their academic and social growth.
  • Capacity to maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and educational technology.
  • Awareness of child development and comprehension of various learning styles and needs.
