This role is pivotal in assisting the school district's initiatives aimed at addressing student and institutional challenges. The position involves engaging with parents, students, and community organizations to enhance student involvement in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate meetings with students and parents regarding academic concerns;
  • Maintain comprehensive records of interactions with students and families;
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with educators and support staff about student-related issues;
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of relevant data;
  • Conduct visits to homes and community agencies;
  • Participate in workshops and conferences aimed at parents and students;
  • Prepare basic reports detailing student progress.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a working knowledge of district policies and community resources pertinent to youth support. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required, along with the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong motivational skills, effective planning abilities, and the capacity to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and educational staff.


Minimum Requirements:

High school graduation or equivalent, along with one of the following:

  • A.A. degree or 60 college credits; OR
  • 30 college credits plus one year of relevant experience with youth; OR
  • Two years of relevant experience as described above; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirement:

A valid driver's license in New York State is necessary to meet the transportation needs associated with this role.
