Job Summary

As an Admissions Coordinator at Cardiovascular Health Clinic, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive experience for patients from their initial arrival to their departure. Your primary responsibility will be to create a seamless and efficient process for patient admissions, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients and their families, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Completes and audits new admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Enters new patient data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Collects patient time-of-service payments and coordinates with scheduling staff to schedule follow-up appointments
  • Answers phones and completes associated clerical tasks as needed

Special Functions:

  • Request labs and ensure all daily orders are addressed for Advanced Cardio Specialists
  • Communicate progress with referring provider's office

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Admissions Coordinator or a comparable position required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to local practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a clinical practice environment
  • Experience in Cardiac Healthcare
  • Experience with EMR

Work Environment:

This position requires full range of body motion and is performed in a typical medical practice environment.
