About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our team at Lifetime Dentistry of Lady Lake, FL. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our dental team.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Greeting and Communication: Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office, creating a positive first impression of our team.
  • Front Office Administration: Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies.
  • Scheduling and Records: Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Insurance and Billing: File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage.
  • Accounts Receivable: Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables.
  • Treatment Plan Fees and Payment Options: Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • PHI and Data Safeguards: The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.
