About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Assistant to join our team at Lifetime Dentistry of Lady Lake. As a Business Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our front office operations and ensuring seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, creating a positive first impression of our team
  • Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers, streamlining our office operations
  • File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage
  • Post insurance and patient payments, processing accounts receivables in a timely manner
  • Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients, providing exceptional customer service
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems, optimizing office potential

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable, with a strong understanding of dental software (Dentrix)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, with regular HIPAA training and data safeguards
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds
