Position Overview
As our organization expands, we are seeking a motivated individual to support the General Manager in driving new membership sales, overseeing studio operations, and enhancing member retention. The CycleBar Experience (CBX) team member is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while guiding both prospective and current members in selecting classes, addressing membership inquiries, and facilitating merchandise transactions. Candidates should possess strong customer service abilities, basic computer proficiency, effective communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine enthusiasm for sales and service. We expect our team members to warmly welcome our customers and contribute to fostering a vibrant community.

This role is available as part-time to full-time hourly employment, with compensation ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
Sales
  • Implement the sales process, including lead generation, follow-up, and closing sales.
  • Achieve and surpass sales targets set by the General Manager.
  • Build rapport with prospects to understand their fitness aspirations and present suitable services to help them reach their goals.
  • Conduct studio tours for potential members to establish connections and facilitate sales; schedule follow-up appointments after initial class visits.
  • Engage in promotional events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, and community outreach) to raise awareness of the studio.
  • Enhance sales skills through participation in training sessions and company meetings.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products, programs, and pricing.
  • Assist with retail sales and provide information about various brands.
Membership Retention
  • Address member inquiries in person and over the phone regarding membership policies.
  • Warmly greet members and visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed in the studio.
Studio Operations
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment during shifts by assisting with cleaning tasks as directed by the General Manager or company policies.
  • Adhere to all procedures established by the company to operate the studio in compliance with health regulations.
Additional Duties
  • Exhibit a positive and enthusiastic attitude; embody and promote company values while representing company interests to both internal and external customers.
  • Follow up on customer feedback, inquiries, and concerns; respond to customer needs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Comply with established safety practices and participate in all safety training provided by the company.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or company management.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or fitness sales.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and via phone or email; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Solid writing and grammar skills.
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, reliability, and neat appearance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Trustworthiness and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and the public.
  • Capacity to remain calm and professional, even in challenging situations.
  • Proficiency with computers and studio management software.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to four hours at a time.
  • Capability to reach with hands and arms, bend, lift, and kneel.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Effective hearing ability in person and via telephone.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly wage along with commissions based on sales performance. Opportunities for bonuses based on individual performance are available, as well as potential for career advancement within the company, including additional sales and management roles.
