Position Overview
As our organization expands, we are seeking a motivated individual to support the General Manager in driving new membership sales, overseeing studio operations, and enhancing member retention. The CycleBar Experience (CBX) team member is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while guiding prospective and current members in selecting classes, addressing membership inquiries, and facilitating merchandise transactions. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, basic computer proficiency, effective communication abilities, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for sales and service. We expect our team to warmly welcome customers and contribute to a vibrant community atmosphere.

This role is available as part-time to full-time hourly employment, with compensation ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
Sales
  • Implement the sales process, including lead generation, follow-up, and closing sales.
  • Achieve and surpass sales targets set by the General Manager.
  • Establish relationships and understand potential members' fitness aspirations, presenting suitable services to help them reach their goals.
  • Conduct studio tours for potential members to build rapport and facilitate sales; schedule follow-up appointments after initial class visits.
  • Engage in promotional events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, and community events) to enhance studio visibility.
  • Enhance sales skills through training sessions and company meetings.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products, programs, and pricing.
  • Assist in retail sales and respond to inquiries about merchandise.
Membership Retention
  • Assist members with inquiries regarding membership policies, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Greet members and guests with warmth, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the studio.
Studio Operations
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment during shifts by performing cleaning tasks as directed by the General Manager or company policies.
  • Adhere to all operational procedures established by the company to comply with health directives and guidelines.
Additional Duties
  • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic demeanor; embody and promote company values, representing the organization’s interests to both internal and external customers.
  • Address complaints, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Follow established safety practices and participate in safety training provided by the company.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or company management.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or fitness sales.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and via phone or email; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Solid writing and grammar skills.
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and well-groomed.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and the public.
  • Capacity to remain calm and professional, even in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in computer usage and studio management software.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, and perform bending, lifting, and kneeling tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required.
  • Capability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Effective hearing in person and via telephone is necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly wage along with commissions based on sales performance. Opportunities for bonuses based on individual performance and potential for career advancement within the company, including additional sales and management roles, are available.
