We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Care Patient Supervisor to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of patient care, supervising staff, and maintaining clinical nursing practice skills.
Responsibilities- Manage human resource functions, including staff supervision and development.
- Direct patient care activities, ensuring high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor unit budgets and participate in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects.
- Serve as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a nurse, with prior lead or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
- Complete understanding of acuity levels for the patient population.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- ACLS certified or eligibility for certification.
- Background Check and Live Scan.
- Legal Right to Work in the United States.
- Vaccination Policies.
- Smoking and Tobacco Policy.
- Drug-Free Environment.
