Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Care Patient Supervisor to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of patient care, supervising staff, and maintaining clinical nursing practice skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage human resource functions, including staff supervision and development.
  • Direct patient care activities, ensuring high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
  • Monitor unit budgets and participate in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects.
  • Serve as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a nurse, with prior lead or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
  • Complete understanding of acuity levels for the patient population.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • ACLS certified or eligibility for certification.
