Key Responsibilities
• Manage human resource functions, including staff supervision and development
• Direct patient care activities, ensuring high-quality care and patient satisfaction
• Monitor unit budgets and participate in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects
• Serve as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others
Requirements
• Strong understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Excellent customer service orientation and written and oral communication skills
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff through prior lead or supervisory experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and minimum 3 years of experience as a nurse
• Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
• Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
• ACLS certification or eligibility for certification
Licenses and Certifications
• RN
• BLS
