Ambulatory Care Patient Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Care Patient Supervisor to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of patient care, quality of nursing practice, and standards of care in the OB/GYN Clinic.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements. They will also have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a nurse and demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
The Ambulatory Care Patient Supervisor will be responsible for managing human resource functions, directing patient care activities, monitoring unit budgets, and participating in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects. They will also serve as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage human resource functions, including staff supervision and development
- Direct patient care activities, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Monitor unit budgets and participate in financial planning and management
- Participate in departmental and medical center-wide performance improvement projects
- Serve as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a nurse
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
- Deep understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
- ACLS certified or eligibility for certification
Licenses and Certifications:
- RN
- BLS
