Position Overview:

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering outstanding customer service while guiding clients through their selection of various accounts and financial products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently open new consumer and complex business accounts with precision.
  • Manage all new account transactions, including maintenance and closures.
  • Proactively cross-sell the bank's offerings to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide administrative support within the branch and foster positive client relationships.
  • Direct clients to the appropriate personnel for additional services.
  • Ensure adherence to all banking policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Stay informed about fundamental banking regulations and information security practices.
  • Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications effectively.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and handle confidential information with care.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in banking or as a teller is required.
  • Advanced knowledge in opening consumer and complex business accounts.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer relations skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with basic banking regulations and information security.
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct thorough customer interviews to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
  • Actively promote bank products to both new and existing clients.
  • Generate new business opportunities to meet branch objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Open and support various account types, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust & Estate Accounts.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Adhere to New Account laws, procedures, and required documentation.
  • Process teller transactions while maintaining excellent balancing records.
  • Deliver prompt and courteous service to clients both in-person and via phone.
  • Consistently demonstrate exemplary customer service and maintain a positive demeanor.
  • Proactively identify and retain customers at risk of leaving.
  • Aim to exceed customer expectations through personalized service.
  • Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per year for community volunteer work.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
