About the Role

MCHS Family of Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Family Engagement Specialist to join our team in supporting Unaccompanied refugee children. This part-time or full-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to oversee foster parent orientation and training, ensuring that families are equipped to provide a nurturing environment for these children.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with case managers to develop and implement case plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Conduct home evaluations and annual reassessments to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and promote a safe and stable environment for the children.
  • A key aspect of this role is investigating complaints related to the care of children in foster homes, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for working with Unaccompanied refugee children is essential, as well as a commitment to promoting their well-being and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is mandatory for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

What We Offer

  • A competitive estimated salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
