Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, and MRI. You will work closely with our medical team to ensure high-quality images and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray, CT, MRI, and other modalities
  • Position patients and select technical factors based on knowledge of radiologic science and patient assessment
  • Apply principles of radiation safety and use appropriate filters, cones, and protective clothing to obtain high-quality images
  • Assess patient condition and take action consistent with standards
  • Document procedures and events in patient medical records and departmental logs
  • Transport patients using gurneys, wheelchairs, and beds
  • Schedule procedures and patients, and produce, process, and collate images and paperwork
  • Assist patients and other customers, and answer departmental telephones
Requirements
  • Current license issued by the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Valid permit to use Fluoroscopy equipment issued by the California Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch
  • Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT certification in at least one advanced modality
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to radiation. You must be able to lift and move patients and equipment, and work in a team environment.
