Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy.
  • Position patients and select technical factors based on knowledge of radiologic science and patient assessment.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety and use appropriate filters, cones, and protective clothing to obtain high-quality images.
  • Assess patient condition and take action consistent with standards, including monitoring medical equipment and reporting problems.
  • Document procedures and events in patient medical records and departmental logs.
  • Schedule procedures and patients, transfer paper orders into electronic order entry systems, and produce, process, and collate images and paperwork.
  • Train student technologists in the science and practice of diagnostic imaging.
  • Participate in departmental Quality Improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Current license issued by the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • ARRT certification in at least one advanced modality.
  • Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Valid permit to use Fluoroscopy equipment issued by the California Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT certification in at least two advanced modalities.
