Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing visual examinations of nuclear waste, verifying the physical form of the waste, and excluding prohibited items. They will also interact with visual examination experts and other teams to problem-solve and create, review, and approve Visual Examination Batch Data Reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual examinations of nuclear waste to verify physical form and exclude prohibited items
  • Interact with visual examination experts and other teams to problem-solve and create, review, and approve Visual Examination Batch Data Reports
  • Work closely with the Central Characterization Program team to ensure accurate and efficient waste characterization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in nuclear waste characterization or a related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of CCP TRU Waste Characterization activities and Visual Examination Process
