We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Student Transportation of America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on large commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform thorough, accurate inspections and complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform complex operations, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs, and field tests, requiring interpretation and working from drawings, specifications, and other technical materials.
- Emergency Services: Perform emergency roadside services as needed, including inspection of equipment and diagnosis of mechanical defects.
- Documentation: Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain tools and workplaces to ensure neat and orderly conditions.
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic preferred.
- Accreditation from a school or certification program preferred.
- Complete all training requirements.
- Pre-employment background checks.
