Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Student Transportation of New Hampshire. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on large commercial vehicles.

• Perform thorough and accurate preventative maintenance inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
• Complete all required maintenance operations, including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation, in accordance with OEM and other standards.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance as needed, under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs.
• Perform emergency roadside services as needed, including inspection and repair of equipment.
• Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately.
• Maintain tools and workplaces in a neat and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as required, including on-call service calls, extended hours, or weekend work flexibility.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or mechanic.
• Accreditation from a school or certification program.
• Complete all training requirements.
• Pass a pre-employment background check.
