Mechanical Quality Assurance Inspector

About Wilcox Industries
At Wilcox Industries, we are dedicated to supporting homeland defense and armed services. We are looking for a full-time Incoming Quality Control Mechanical Inspector to join our team during the day shift, Monday through Friday. This role reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance and collaborates closely with both the Engineering and Purchasing departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold the Quality Management Systems.
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections, evaluations, and tests on incoming products from external suppliers and vendors.
- Examine materials, components, and products upon arrival from suppliers or external services.
- Possess the ability to interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions.
- Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, optical comparators, and hardness testers.
- Employ statistical process control methodologies.
- Manage nonconforming products effectively.
- Collect and maintain Quality Records diligently.
- Engage with internal stakeholders regarding the Quality System and ISO 9001:2015 certification.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a fast-paced quality role, with manufacturing experience being advantageous.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with measuring instruments is essential.
- Experience with PC-DMIS (CMM) is a plus.
- Skilled in data collection and analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems is preferred.
- Regular on-site attendance is a crucial aspect of this position.
- This role requires access to export-controlled technology; qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. government-controlled technology.

Compensation will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
