Lighthouse Professional Services, a leading staffing agency, is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Automation Specialist to join our team in Manchester, NH.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned automation professional to design, build, and install new automation lines for our clients in the manufacturing industry. As a Product Development Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for specifying, designing, and managing control and data acquisition systems for new and existing production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automation System Design: Develop and implement robust cutting-edge manufacturing techniques for high-volume use.
  • PLC Programming: Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using AB Studio 5000 and Rockwell Collins.
  • Motion Control Systems: Design and implement motion control systems using AB Kinetics, Delta Tau PMAC and UMAC, Emerson Epsilon, Yaskawa Sigma, GE DSM324, Mitsubishi MR-J3 Copley Xenus, and Kollmorgen AKD.
  • Vision Systems: Implement vision systems using Cognex Vision Pro, Keyence CV-X, and Teledyne.
  • Communication Protocols: Utilize RS232, Ethernet/IP, and remote I/O communications protocols.
  • System Integration: Integrate automation systems with existing production equipment and software.
  • Validation and Testing: Develop and implement validation lifecycle documentation and test automation systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality departments to understand and address observed or perceived issues with equipment, systems, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience with PLC programming, vision systems, and controls troubleshooting in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne, or similar vision systems, and knowledge of JAVA, Python, SQL, and Visual Basic.
  • Software: Experience with Excel, Word, Access, and other related computer software for machine design, programming, backup, and monitoring.
  • Sensor Technologies: Understanding of and ability to use various sensor technologies, including 0-20ma, 4-20ma, 0-5VDC, and 0-10VDC analog signals.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Priority Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities daily.
