Overview:

This role is responsible for providing coaching, leadership, and delivery of services to build capability, maximize associate engagement, and ensure talent acquisition. The HR Generalist will work closely with an agile HR team to serve key internal plant customers, supporting their talent needs to drive business results.

Responsibilities:

Engagement:

  • Maintain positive associate, corporate, and community relationships.
  • Maximize associate engagement and minimize litigious activity by coaching and advising leaders and associates on policy interpretation and coaching for improved performance.
  • Participate in associate activities and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement successful action plans to address identified issues.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Creatively utilize appropriate channels to establish a sourcing pool of talent that generates quality candidates while being cost-effective.

Building Capability:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement successful learning and development activities for associates.
  • Facilitate the thinking, discussion, and decisions within the organization regarding role clarity, organizational changes, and its impact on the business.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement improvements for efficient talent processes.
  • Proactively engage with employees to build and reinforce a positive culture.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience as an HR supporting internal customers.
  • Experience working through associate relations issues.
  • Supported internal customers with strong, effective coaching and performance management.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Working Conditions/Environment:

The HR Generalist will work in an office and manufacturing environment where the associate is regularly required to be in attendance at work in accordance with company expectations and guidelines. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, odors, dust, oil, and slippery floors. Earplugs and hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists), safety glasses, and slip-resistant/steel-toed shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
