About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Account Specialist to join our team at First Security Bank Bozeman. As an Account Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing new account transactions, and assisting customers in selecting various accounts and financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers with a smile and assess their needs in a professional manner.
  • Process all new account transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist customers in selecting various accounts and financial services.
  • Build account relationships by effectively cross-selling and referring additional products and services.
  • Know the features and benefits of all checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, health savings accounts, individual retirement accounts, and certificate of deposit accounts.
  • Accurately open any account with complete documentation and complete follow-up phone calls and thank-you cards within the required timeframes.
  • Actively participate in the High Performance Growth (HPG) program, including Branch HPG displays, Big Days, and Tell a Friend program.
  • Know how to use and set up Net Teller (online banking), Bill Pay, and E-statements to assist customers.
  • Process Wire Transfers and Safe Deposit Clerk duties.
  • Follow up with customers to complete pending items within the 30-day required period.
  • Complete necessary CIF maintenance when account relationships change.
  • Issue and perform maintenance on VISA Instant Issue and Check Cards.
  • Make determinations when a check is deposited into a new checking account if it will require a Reg CC Hold and explain this to the customer.
  • Explain all new account disclosures associated with each retail product.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service and clerical experience.
  • Previous bank experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Bank products and services.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
