Job Summary

Apollo Professional Solutions is seeking a skilled Machinist - 1st Shift to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to perform complex machining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours, boring compound angular holes, and gear cutting.
  • Select, mount, and align machine attachments and tooling, plan sequence of operations, and determine speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications, and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
Requirements
  • US Person
  • G and M code knowledge for part program troubleshooting and editing
  • Ability to pre-set tool lengths
  • Proficient at GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls
  • Ability to perform complex machining calculations
