Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Butler America Aerospace, LLC. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of milling machines to perform precision machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours, boring compound angular holes, and gear cutting.
  • Select, mount, and align machine attachments and tooling, and plan the sequence of operations.
  • Determine, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and machinist's hand tools to measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (no degree required)
  • US Citizen or US Person
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
