Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Software Engineer to lead the development of software systems for our seaglider projects, ensuring safe and reliable flight operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain software systems for seaglider projects, including vehicle guidance, navigation, system management, and communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers to support their professional growth and development.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in vehicle software development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle software development, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in C++.
  • Solid knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, distributed computing systems, and software/hardware interfaces.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle, from prototyping to vehicle hardware testing, including hardware-in-the-loop simulation, vehicle integration, and field testing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices for software safety and reliability (e.g., DO-178C).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
