Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Software Engineer to lead the development and optimization of software systems for our seaglider projects.

Key Deliverables:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software systems for seaglider projects, including vehicle guidance, navigation, system management, and communication.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Optimize software for efficiency, reliability, and real-time performance in resource-constrained embedded systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle software development, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in C++.
  • Solid knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, distributed computing systems, and software/hardware interfaces.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle, from prototyping to vehicle hardware testing, including hardware-in-the-loop simulation, vehicle integration, and field testing.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices for software safety and reliability (e.g., DO-178C).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
