Responsibilities
The University Library is looking for a Library Support Specialist to join our team. This full-time position will encompass a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary service desk support for daily library operations, including circulation tasks such as checking in and out library materials using the Alma system.
- Monitor library operations to address issues related to supplies, noise levels, cleanliness, patron behavior, and technology.
- Document and track facility and technology concerns from initial report to resolution.
- Compile and share operational statistics with the Library Associate II.
- Act as the primary on-site expert for circulation services, including procedures, policies, and patron inquiries.
- Manage campus orders through the procurement system from order placement to delivery.
- Oversee the campus course materials and reserves collection, serving as the main contact for faculty and departments.
- Assist Technical Services with special projects, including updating holdings information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
This position operates Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts required.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with three years of experience in library services, customer service, or office administration.
- Recent experience in a college or university library setting.
- Proficiency in computer use within an office environment.
- Familiarity with library circulation processes in an automated system.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
