Job Summary:
A technical entertainment specialist is sought by United Parks and Resorts, Inc. to support the success of their events and shows in a theatrical environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

About the Job:
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical theater, with knowledge of lighting, sound, and special effects systems. Experience with rigging, stage management, and scenic construction is also desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation, operation, and strike of all entertainment shows and events. This will include setting up and testing equipment, performing scene shifts, and providing technical support to vendors and contractors. In addition, the technical entertainment specialist will be expected to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain quality standards, and ensure the safe operation of all technical equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work at heights of up to 80 feet.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a minimum of two years of general experience in a theatrical environment as a technician. A college degree in theatre or a related discipline is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to travel locally.
