Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

At Kootenai Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all patient care processes in the clinic setting, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient workflows.
  • Perform department core and job-specific clinical competencies, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Serve as a liaison between the clinic, hospital, and other community resources, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
  • Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient and family education, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Maintain inventory of clinical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams, promoting open communication and respect.
  • Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures, adhering to regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Attain all agreed-upon goals and objectives within specified time frames, contributing to the organization's overall mission and success.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited program in Certified Medical Assisting.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a clinic outpatient setting, preferably with EMR experience.
