Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

Rush University System for Health is seeking a highly skilled Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Rush University Medical Center. As a key member of our Cancer Service Line, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with breast cancer.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with breast cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and needs.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and laboratory tests, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments, as appropriate, to manage symptoms and side effects.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and promoting healthy behaviors.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current State of Illinois Physician Assistant Licensure or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
  • Current Certification from the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or a national certifying organization for APRNs.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a focus on patient-centered care.
