Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

Rush University System for Health is seeking a highly skilled Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our Cancer Service Line, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with breast cancer.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with breast cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and needs.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and biopsies.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and hormone therapy.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current State of Illinois Physician Assistant Licensure or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Licensure.
  • Current Certification from National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in breast oncology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
