Job Title: Breast Surgical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Breast Surgical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, comprehensive care to our patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in a hospital or ambulatory setting, including conducting comprehensive or episodic health assessments, developing patient care plans, and ordering and interpreting tests and treatments.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide integrated delivery of patient care services, promoting cost-effective and quality patient care.
  • Act as an advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the physician assistant profession, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in ongoing and systematic quality improvement efforts, focusing on patient care delivery and supporting processes that provide optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and lead implementation of department goals, collaborating with department staff, students, and physicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current State of Illinois Physician Assistant Licensure.
  • Current Certification from National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Degree from an ARC-PA (or predecessor) accredited PA Program.
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Licensure.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner Certification from a national certifying organization.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing.
  • BLS certification.
