Job Title: Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

Rush University System for Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Breast Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with breast cancer.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with breast cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and laboratory tests.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and biopsies.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and hormone therapy.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in breast cancer treatment.
Requirements:
  • Current State of Illinois Physician Assistant Licensure.
  • Current Certification from National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Degree from an ARC-PA (or predecessor) accredited PA Program.
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Licensure.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner Certification from a national certifying organization Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner educational program.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree.
