About the Role

BCC Engineering, a leading design firm, is seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement traffic engineering plans and studies to improve traffic flow and safety.
  • Prepare technical reports and memoranda to document project findings and recommendations.
  • Analyze traffic data and perform traffic operational analysis using specialized software and technical traffic engineering manuals.
  • Design and develop transportation projects, including fiber, ITS device communications, network communications, and signals.
  • Conduct roadway safety analysis to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Develop and assess multi-modal conceptual roadway design alternatives to improve traffic and safety operations.
  • Review and analyze traffic engineering analyses and traffic impact studies on behalf of cities, counties, and the Department of Transportation.
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions to address traffic congestion and safety problems.
  • Perform field reviews to verify existing geometric and traffic conditions, signal timing, traffic queuing, conflict assessment, and travel times.
  • Represent work products and collect information related to project assignments.
  • Adhere to company marketing requirements and ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as urban/transportation planning, transportation engineering, or civil engineering.
  • 6 years' experience preferred.
  • P.E. licensing required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
