Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our team. This role is essential for managing financial aspects of various projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining effective communication with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage monthly requisitions and payment applications according to contractual agreements.
  • Generate invoices and maintain change order documentation.
  • Track and resolve outstanding issues related to assigned projects through proactive communication.
  • Compile and produce cash management and forecasting reports for upper management review.
  • Organize and maintain billing job folders for easy access and completeness.
  • Conduct analysis of job costs and evaluate profit/loss statements for assigned projects.
  • Engage regularly with clients and internal personnel regarding collections and billing matters.
  • Collaborate with Project Management on billing processes, change orders, and financial analysis.
  • Review and prepare necessary waivers, tax certificates, and compliance reports.
  • Participate actively as a team member, addressing all accounting issues related to assigned projects.
  • Assist the Director of Project Accounting, Controller, and CFO with various accounting tasks.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable onsite attendance as a critical function of the role.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in project accounting, specifically with subcontractors.
  • Experience with Viewpoint by Vista construction ERP software is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong skills in formulas and formatting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment, working independently when necessary.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $120,000, complemented by Local Union 3 ADM benefits.
