Position Title: Project Financial Analyst

Description: We are seeking a motivated entry-level Project Financial Analyst to join our Accounting team. The Project Financial Analyst will oversee the billing process for our projects, ensuring accurate verification of employee billable hours and expenses in line with established accounting practices and billing policies. This role involves setting up and adjusting project budgets as necessary and maintaining up-to-date project information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit invoices for various government and private clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project files with all relevant documents.
  • Update budget modifications and variance adjustments in the company’s reporting system as required.
  • Coordinate billing processes with different branch offices.
  • Address client requests for additional reports or detailed backup documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers regarding the financial status of projects, contract changes, and client invoicing needs.
  • Review unbilled costs and outstanding invoices monthly to optimize billing and collection efforts.
  • Assess invoice submissions from sub-consultants to ensure compliance with contract terms and budget constraints.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed based on project and company requirements.
  • Clearly communicate any project-related issues to both accounting and non-accounting personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Business Administration.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in Accounting, focusing on billing and contract interpretation.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated self-leadership with attention to detail and adherence to monthly billing deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and a high level of integrity.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team setting when necessary.
Compensation: Salary Range - $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
