Job Overview:
OtterBase seeks a seasoned Automation and Control Specialist to spearhead material handling automation and control systems development. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from inception to deployment, and providing technical support for existing SCADA infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Ignition SCADA software, industrial control systems, and automation, as well as exceptional project management and communication skills. Our estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying existing SCADA applications, creating innovative new designs and system architectures, and collaborating directly with customers to gather requirements and manage expectations. They will also lead and support implementation of new control systems, provide technical support and troubleshooting, and adapt to various operational areas as needed. Our goal is to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Required Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 2+ years of material handling experience, and proficiency with Ignition SCADA software are essential qualifications. Strong understanding of industrial control systems and automation, project management and communication skills, and ability to work independently and lead cross-functional projects are also required. Technical skills include Ignition SCADA platform, industrial control system design, PLC programming, HMI development, and networking and communication protocols.
