At Andrews Cooper Technology LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team of experienced engineers. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing complex automated systems for our clients.

Overview

Andrews Cooper is an engineering services firm specializing in technology development within ambiguous environments. We collaborate with our clients to improve speed to market with our engineering teams in Research & Development, Product Development, Hardware Testing, and Manufacturing Automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Integration: Identify and integrate off-the-shelf components including controllers, pneumatics, fluidics, robots, vision systems, motion systems, sensors, part handling systems, safety systems, and conveyors.
  • Engineering Analysis: Produce designs for power circuits, control circuits, and safety circuits that are standards' compliant (ISO13849, NEC, and NFPA79).
  • Validation and Troubleshooting: Validate solutions through engineering analysis and calculations, and troubleshoot automation systems during startup phases.
  • Project Management: Participate in regular project meetings with clients and project team to review project status (design, schedule, budget, change notifications, and risks).
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university.
  • 8+ years of experience designing complex automated systems as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • High level of proficiency and expertise in working with PLCs including Rockwell, Siemens, and Codesys.
  • Programming skills using various languages and platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
