Key Responsibilities

Performance Management:

  • Achieve or surpass targets related to overall store sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Forecast and adjust staffing levels to optimize productivity and meet sales and payroll objectives.
  • Build a team that exemplifies the PharmaCann/Verilife brand by delivering outstanding service and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Regularly review financial and operational reports, including sales data and audit outcomes.
  • Identify underperforming areas and devise strategies to leverage company resources for business improvement.

Team Development:

  • Foster a cohesive, respectful, and professional work environment.
  • Recruit, interview, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
  • Utilize a candidate tracking system for open positions.
  • Align team members with roles that best suit their skills.
  • Train, coach, and develop all staff using company resources.
  • Provide constructive performance feedback and manage employee relations matters.
  • Encourage an environment that promotes growth and engagement among associates.
  • Facilitate open communication by sharing corporate strategies and messages.
  • Promote teamwork by collaborating with the management team to establish priorities and provide clear direction.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure adherence to PharmaCann policies, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to assign the right associates to enhance customer experience and minimize loss.
  • Collaborate with FOH and BOH Managers on security scheduling requirements.
  • Protect company assets by ensuring compliance with operational procedures, including safety and inventory control.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by implementing company programs and securing buy-in from team members.
  • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, and the community.
  • Embody the culture and values of PharmaCann while supporting the company's objectives.
  • May be required to assist with additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience in a high-volume retail environment with a customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and analyze performance metrics.
  • Strong decision-making skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.

Working Conditions

This role operates within a professional retail environment, utilizing standard office equipment. Flexibility in scheduling, including long hours and weekend availability, is required. Occasional travel to other locations may be necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to climb ladders and step stools.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.

Direct Reports

This position directly manages the FOH Manager and BOH Manager, overseeing their performance and the hiring of staff within each department.
