Overview

We are currently in search of a Risk Governance and Strategy Manager within the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) Risk Department. This position is tasked with upholding the Bank's policy and Committee charter framework, orchestrating risk reporting, managing departmental policies and procedures, and further refining enterprise-wide governance processes. Additionally, this role will provide consultative support to the first and second lines of defense, prepare risk presentations or informational reports for business unit leaders, executive management, and the Board of Directors, and assist in the development of comprehensive policies related to risk governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and enhancing the Bank-wide policy governance framework, including maintaining the policy inventory and implementing improved policy management lifecycle protocols.
  • Managing and refining the Bank-wide committee governance framework, including maintaining committee charters and executing enhanced committee management program requirements.
  • Conducting credible challenges and/or quality control reviews on selected governance documents.
  • Coordinating the risk committee reporting package for management, executive, and board levels.
  • Monitoring departmental progress against the implementation of the target operating model and collaborating across teams to identify execution risks and potential solutions.
  • Executing ad-hoc risk management initiatives as directed by the Director of Risk Governance and Strategy.
Qualifications
  • Over 8 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, external audit, or risk management consulting.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business or Finance.
  • Proven ability to adapt and effectively manage various projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capacity to think broadly, generate innovative ideas, and translate strategy into execution.
  • Collaborative team player and relationship builder with exceptional communication skills.
  • Aptitude for making sound risk/reward decisions based on a blend of data, logic, and intuition.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PPT).
Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $165,000.00/Yr. Final offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
