Overview:
We are currently on the lookout for a Risk Governance and Strategy Manager to join our 2LOD Risk Department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Bank's policy and Committee charter framework, coordinating risk reporting, managing departmental policies and procedures, and further enhancing enterprise-wide governance processes. Additionally, this position may serve as a consultative resource for the first and second lines of defense, preparing risk presentations or informational reports for business unit leaders, executive management, and the Board of Directors, as well as assisting in the creation of organization-wide policies related to risk governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance the Bank-wide policy governance program, ensuring the maintenance of the policy inventory and the implementation of improved policy management lifecycle requirements.
  • Manage and refine the Bank-wide committee governance program, including the upkeep of committee charters and the execution of enhanced committee management program requirements.
  • Conduct credible challenges and quality control reviews on sampled governance documents.
  • Coordinate the preparation of management, executive, and board-level risk committee reporting packages.
  • Monitor departmental progress against the implementation of the target operating model, collaborating across teams to identify execution risks and potential solutions.
  • Execute ad-hoc risk management projects as directed by the Director of Risk Governance and Strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Over 8 years of experience in risk management, Internal Audit, External Audit, or risk management consulting.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business or Finance.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to think broadly, generate innovative ideas, and translate strategy into execution.
  • A collaborative team player and relationship builder with exceptional communication skills.
  • Capability to make informed risk/reward decisions using a blend of data, logic, and intuition.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and identify process improvements.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PPT).
